Malacca / Melaka

It’s the first time I set foot here in Malacca. It was literary amazing.
Before this, hundred years ago Malacca was inhibited. Then, a prince from a neighbouring country (which is now called Indonesia) named Parameswara had found Malacca. Which he also became the first Sultan of Malacca.

According to legend, Parameswara was resting under a tree then out of the blue his dogs was being kicked into the river by a mousedeer. At that time Parameswara was mesmerized and impressed by the scene, he then decided to build an empire on the very same spot and named it Malacca after the tree where he had just rest under it, the Melaka tree.
Parameswara was also the first Malay prince who converted to Islam and took on the name of Sultan Iskandar Syah. It was he that laid the foundation for Melaka to become a thriving enterport. Furthermore, Malacca was once the oldest Malay Sultanate. However, it’s such a pity that the state now has no Sultan. Instead, Yang di-Pertua Negeri or Governor is the head of the state.
End of history. It’s time to continue my story.
How to go to Malacca?
It only take 2 hour to go to Malacca via Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan/E2 from Kl Sentral to Malacca and 1 hour 36 min from Port Dickson to go there. You can also use the bus or train to get there (though the train doesn’t stop directly in Malacca, but a 30 minute taxi ride from the town).
I don’t know how much it cost if you go there by bus because lucky me I had my sister to drove me there. We travel to Malacca at 12:30 pm and arrived there at approximately 2 pm from Port Dickson because my brother stayed and worked in PD. Yeah!
Popular attractions in and around Malacca that we go just for one day.
After we arrived go to Bandar Hilir and ate at Restoran Asam Pedas Junior. I hate to eat fish but it worth it because it’s delicious. If come here, I recommend you to try it!
We went to several places there in just one day. We went to the Port de Santigago (A'Famosa), take photos at Christ Church, Malacca, Taming Sari Tower, Jonker Street, The Stadthuys, Portuguese vestiges, Dutch Square etc...
